About the company
The Holektiv ensemble, which has officially operated as an association since 2016, was founded on the creative initiative of three performers: Andrea Vykysalá, Eva Stará and Karolína Křížková. Since then, the company has evolved into a platform that facilitates the creation and development of new original productions based on current social issues, brings together various artists across artistic and technical genres and offers employment opportunities to young performers. In its projects, Holektiv combines physical theater with dance and contemporary circus.
It provides cultural experiences to audiences not only in theaters but also in outdoor spaces through open-air performances, very often without the need to purchase tickets, thereby building relationships with audiences from disadvantaged socioeconomic backgrounds. Through its work, the company sparks social debate, offers commentary, and brings people together. Holektiv is active on both the Czech and international scenes, and in addition to choreography and performance, the company is also dedicated to teaching dance and contemporary circus arts.
