A performance combining elements of contemporary circus and visual art, inspired by string figures and string stories, often considered one of the earliest artistic expressions found across parts of the world without written language. Finger manipulation with a loop of string represents some of the first intimate performances, whose creation has been linked to divination, mythology, religion, ancestral storytelling, or simply the joy of play, movement, and invention. The last metnioned reason also sparked the creation of this performance.

About the company
Jana Švecová is from Makov near Litomyšl. She is interested in different forms of movement and in how we can tell stories through them. She creates site-specific actions and ephemeral installations. She often works with original text and elements of contemporary circus. She interweaves her artistic practice with movement, her everyday life, and the search for new possibilities of expression.
