Abstract
Fear is a natural reaction that protects us from danger. But it doesn’t always work the way it should. And fear also, isn’t always justified. The same truth can be applied for prohibitions. We can shield ourselves with caution, but we can never fully avoid risks, or fear. The question is how we choose to deal with them. Whether we let them paralyze and bind us, or whether we learn to face them.
The performance CEZ OKRAJ (Over the edge), situated on the border of object theatre, physical theatre, and documentary theatre, moves along the edge between courage and recklessness, obedience and breaking the rules, and sometimes steps slightly beyond it. It explores the limits of our fear, what may happen when we cross them, and the temptations of forbidden fruit.

Information about the company
The Bratislava Puppet Theatre is an important institution that not only entertains, provokes, and inspires its audiences, but also supports their spiritual development through theatrical and artistic experiences. Its foundation is an open, flexible, and creative dramaturgy that, on one hand, reflects current themes through a contemporary artistic language, and on the other hand, returns to the honest showmanship of itinerant puppeteers, the wisdom of fairy tales, and the joy of play. In the last decade, the theatre has focused on combining puppet elements with other artistic forms. Alongside traditional puppet productions, its repertoire also includes movement-based, clown, and performative works.
