About the Program
Debate on the topic of Circus for the Third Age with lecturer and performer Hana Davidová
Are Circus Techniques Really for All Generations?
Join us for an evening talk on Circus of the Third Age with instructor and performer Hana Davidová.
You’ll discover how circus can enhance coordination, agility, and creativity in people over 55 — and why it positively affects not only the body but also the mind. Explore how at CIRQUEON, the joy of movement, learning new skills, and shared fun come together — regardless of age.
Hana Davidová is a circus artist and instructor who loves exploring ways to make circus art accessible to everyone, helping people discover their potential and abilities. She leads workshops and regular courses, viewing circus not only as an art form but also as a powerful tool for personal and social development.
At CIRQUEON, she teaches children and teens, and is also deeply involved in adaptive juggling and circus for seniors, believing that the benefits of juggling should be experienced by the whole world. In addition to teaching, she performs with her group Firejokers, specializing in juggling and fire manipulation.
The discussion will be moderated by Veronika Jošková Štefanová, who studied theatre studies and Czech language at Palacký University in Olomouc and theatre studies at Charles University in Prague. She has long been drawn to contemporary dance and new circus, which she studied theoretically at Sorbonne Nouvelle University in Paris in 2008. Her passion for this art form has taken her to festivals around the world, and in 2010, she co-founded the first Czech circus library at CIRQUEON.
