About the company
TUTOcirk creates contemporary circus productions for both children and adult audiences. Their work moves along the boundary between contemporary circus and physical theatre, often collaborating with prominent musical artists. With a distinctive visual language, they explore current social themes and, within their context, pose questions to themselves and the audience, without the need to reach clearly defined answers. In their work for children, they aim to introduce young viewers to the world of contemporary circus in a cultivated and humorous way.
The contemporary circus company TUTOcirk officially took shape in October 2022 within the association Žongléros Ansámbl, under whose name they had performed until then. The registered association, which continues to support the artistic group, also pursues public education at Cirkulárium, the Pilsen centre for contemporary circus, and promotes contemporary circus through the festival Žonglobalizace.

Abstract: stillllife is a contemporary-circus performance about seeking balance in everyday life, situated between physical theatre, acrobatics, and live music. Its central theme is wellbeing and the search for inner calm in contrast with the pressures of today’s world. The stage features an original moving structure that enables aerial acrobatics while creating strong symbolism (a cage / a playground / a cycle) and space for the audience’s imagination.
The performance is suitable for both open-air and indoor venues, adaptable in terms of technical setup as well as dramaturgy. The project also includes complementary workshops for school groups or young audiences, focusing on connecting body, breath, and mental hygiene.
The creation of the piece involves notable figures of the contemporary Czech art scene: Ema Brabcová (music), Eliška Brtnická (aerial acrobatics), and Markéta Vacovská (dance dramaturgy).
What are we looking for
We are currently seeking collaboration with event agencies, cultural centres, and private companies. We offer complete Christmas programming—for example, our production Hvězdář (The Stargazer) adapted into festive costumes and a winter atmosphere.
We are also looking for a strategic planning specialist who can provide one-off financial and personnel consulting, as well as general guidance on the operation of our association and on aligning our various projects (Žonglobalizace, Cirkulárium, TUTOcirk).
