Premiere: 31. 8. 2025, Prague, Letní Letná International Festival of New Circus and Theater
Abstract
Wild Geese is a children’s performance that tells stories of wandering, courage, and friendship, and also of a pile of wood and a vast, frozen land. It blends circus, dance, and movement-object theatre, drawing inspiration from the heroes of Central European fairy tales and Arctic sagas, as well as from experiences in Greenland and the Far East.
How can we live in harmony with nature and take only as much as we truly need? How do we listen to the landscape so that it no longer feels frightening? We wished to spread our wings and fly so high that the human eye can barely see, where no words can be heard, only the wind. And to fly there together.
We wished to become fearless, to face danger and all challenges as bravely as heroes can. And to never abandon one another.
We wished to find a safe nest and stand by each other no matter what happens, even if it meant growing goose wings. At that moment, we had no idea another journey north awaited us. Wind. Snow. Rain. Frost. Blinding light. High waves. Ice mountains. Endless forests and deep waters.
This imaginative performance opens its world to children aged 6 and up.

Information about the company
The MOVE Ostrava project presents a year-round program offering Ostrava audiences a wide range of contemporary approaches to performative art, including contemporary dance, physical theater, site-specific projects, and new circus. Audiences have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the latest trends and traditional styles through works by Czech and foreign artists. One of the highlights of the season is the annual MOVE Fest Ostrava, which will take place for the 12th time in 2025. In addition to dramaturgical and educational activities, the MOVE Ostrava project is also dedicated to its own creative work. Creating our own projects is an opportunity for us to discover new approaches, experiment with formats, and thus enrich the cultural scene in Ostrava and other places.
