{"id":21665,"date":"2025-03-12T20:38:19","date_gmt":"2025-03-12T20:38:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/czechcircus.cz\/21665\/showcase-noveho-cirkusu-v-srpnu-v-praze"},"modified":"2025-12-20T19:25:38","modified_gmt":"2025-12-20T19:25:38","slug":"contemporary-circus-showcase-in-prague","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/czechcircus.cz\/en\/21665\/contemporary-circus-showcase-in-prague","title":{"rendered":"Contemporary circus showcase in Prague"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Asociace nov\u00e9ho cirkusu in cooperation with International festival of contemporary circus and theatre Letn\u00ed Letn\u00e1 is organising the Contemporary Circus Showcase, taking place on Saturday, 30 August 2025, in Letn\u00e1 Park, Prague.<\/p>\n<p>The showcase is a presentation of contemporary circus artistic projects and productions and is open to Czech and Slovak professional artists and companies.<\/p>\n<p>The showcased artists and projects will be selected through an open call, in collaboration with the event\u2019s dramaturgical board.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The selected projects and the detailed programme will be announced at the end of May 2025.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Registration is open to dramaturgs, venue programmers, festival representatives and other professionals.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/forms\/d\/1eA75OqEhapgbah9Se_b5cDghy3eySiKMOGiyra08ALY\/preview\"><mark><strong>Registration here<\/strong><\/mark><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>Contact person:<\/strong> Anna Vondr\u00e1\u010dkov\u00e1, <a href=\"mailto:anna@czechcircus.cz\">anna@czechcircus.cz<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>The programme will be further specified, but participants can already look forward to:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a short introductory talk on \u201cWhat Is Contemporary Circus\u201d<\/li>\n<li>presentations of artists and projects in two formats:\n<ul>\n<li>pitching sessions (6-minute presentations supported by video),<\/li>\n<li>speed dating (short table-based presentations)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>several performative excerpts presented within a curated evening programme<\/li>\n<li>networking opportunities<\/li>\n<li>an overview of outstanding contemporary circus projects<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Organizer:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Asociace nov\u00e9ho cirkusu:<\/span> open association of independent professionals and organisations active in the field of new circus across the Czech Republic.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Dramaturgical board:<\/span> Dagmar Bedn\u00e1rikov\u00e1, \u0159editelka KD Mlejn; Ond\u0159ej Holba, re\u017eis\u00e9r a lektor; Petr Husi\u010dka, booking mana\u017eer Cirk La Putyka; \u0160\u00e1rka Mar\u0161\u00edkov\u00e1, um\u011bleck\u00e1 \u0159editelka CIRQUEON; Jana Ry\u0161lav\u00e1, director MOVE Ostrava; Ji\u0159\u00ed Turek, \u0159editel festivalu Letn\u00ed Letn\u00e1,<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">The International Festival of Contemporary Circus and Theatre Letn\u00ed Letn\u00e1<\/span> is a Prague-based festival that condenses nearly three weeks of the best Czech and international contemporary circus into a single programme.
